Rad Doc Consultant Inc is a sole proprietorship company advising on medical issues related to ionizing radiation exposures, particularly as related to nuclear and radiological weapons. Dr. Glen I. Reeves, a retired USAF Medical Corps colonel, brings 45 years of combined experience as a radiation oncologist, flight surgeon, instructor on the Medical Effects of Nuclear Weapons/Ionizing Radiation for the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), and evaluator of research proposals submitted to the government on the assessment and management of radiation-caused or aggravated injuries. While at AFRRI he served as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative for contracts with scientists and physicians in the former Soviet Union for publication of their studies on the long-term effects of radiation on personnel working in the USSR’s nuclear weapons program. Also included in these studies were populations downstream from where radioactive materials were dumped into the Techa River, and in cities and villages exposed to fallout from the above-ground nuclear weapons testing program at the Semipalatinsk Test Site in Kazakhstan. For the past 14 years he has published a weekly newsletter on the Medical Effects of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), using recent news events involving the accidental (or occasionally intentional) releases of radioactive materials as well as chemical and biological weapon agents. The purpose of the newsletters is to inform an educated lay audience of current events related to WMD incidents, as well as their historical backgrounds and usages. Readers include military personnel and civilians from not only the USA but several other countries as well.
